Deadly Myanmar Junta Violence Engulfs SetKant: Over 100 Homes in Ashes, Two Dead

The Myanmar junta raided SetKant village in Kalay township on October 6. They burned down at least 100 houses and shot two villagers dead.

The two villagers who died at the hands of the Myanmar regime troops were later identified as a grandmother and grandson.

Over 600 households reside in SetKant, which is primarily home to the Zo (Chin) ethnic group.

The Myanmar junta raided SetKant village on January 5 of this year, which resulted in the burning down of 70 houses and the arrest of the pastor of the local Baptist church
