Tg. Lian Muan Sing, a 17-year-old football star from Kalay town, was shot dead by the Myanmar regime while riding a bike with his two teammates to compete at the U-17 football tournament in Kalay town, Saggaing Region, on Friday, October 6, 2023.
As described by his teammates, he is reportedly "very good at playing football" and regarded as "a future football star" in the town.
The U-17 football tournament is organised yearly by ethnic Zo (Chin) people living in Kalay town, according to his teammates.
