Dozens of Zo Artists from Myanmar and India have announced they will hold a "Unity Concert For Zo Refugees" on October 24th at Hangzo Natural Park in Mizoram's Aizawl City in a heartfelt show of support for Zo refugees hailing from Manipur and Myanmar's Chin state.

The event is organised by Network For Unity Association Zo Friendship International, and Hangzo Event Organiser & Producer. The organisers said the event is open to all, with no admission fees required.

The concert aims to showcase their solidarity and support of the Zo people who are suffered from Myanmar's military attrocities in Chin state, and radical extremists Meitei's attacked on Zo people in Manipur State.

In Myanmar, offensive attacks by the junta on civilians and other aggressive combat with people's defence forces have forced the Zo community to escape.

Meanwhile, in India, the Zo people have had to abandon lands in Manipur state due to the allegedly ethnic cleansing by dominant Meitei extremists, repotedly supported by the state government.

At present, Mizoram welcomes thousands of refugees from Myanmar and internally displaced individuals from Manipur. The state government and citizens of Mizoram have rallied around their Zo brethren in these troubling times.
